D&W Diesel is a national distributor and manufacturer of a wide variety of products for industrial and mobile equipment applications in the United States. The company reached out to Sitecore when they realized that they were outgrowing the e-commerce platform that had launched them into the digital game. They recognized that they needed a solution that would drive growth for a range of customers, from large international manufacturers to small repair shops.

Challenge:

  • Upgrade existing legacy ecommerce platform or migrate to a modern, future-proof alternative
  • Create an enhanced product catalog that both B2B buyers and consumers can browse, shop, order and re-order through

Solution:

  • Sitecore OrderCloud, now powers the dwdiesel.com experience
  • The solution features search capabilities allowing customers to navigate over 60,000 SKUs and a complex pricing structure aimed at different buyer types
  • Sitecore OrderCloud is integrated with D&W Diesel’s existing ERP system

Outcome: Turbocharged order management

D&W Diesel’s customers, a range of direct consumers, large OEMS, small repair shops, and lots intebetween – can now easily browse and order products, view their previous orders, and re-order items. These improvements have contributed to growth in online customers, a reduction in manual order errors, and higher customer retention overall.
