Behind the screams: how Spirit Halloween mastered peak with 2m daily transactions
Spirit Halloween operates one of the world’s most complex seasonal retail models, opening 1,400+ temporary stores every fall and handling extreme order volatility. They face their biggest peak season every October. When supply chain disruptions and tariff pressures hit earlier in the year, the company was forced to review the operation.
Infios, worked alongside the team with both Infios Order Management (OM) and Infios Warehouse Management (WM) solutions to prepare Spirit Halloween, helping them stay ahead rather than react to disruption.
Infios’s integration of OM and WM systems provided Spirit Halloween with a unified platform to execute under intense business demands. The results were tangible: BOPIS rejection rates decreased from 7% to 3.3%, 2 million daily transactions were processed through Infios OM, and 1.6 million peak season orders were fulfilled.
Beyond business success, Spirit Halloween continued their tradition of supporting local charities, proving that operational excellence and community impact can go hand in hand.
Challenge
Ahead of its biggest peak season yet, Spirit faced several challenges:
· Global tariff uncertainty and tightening logistics capacity.
· Need for unified visibility across retail, eCommerce, and marketplaces.
· BOPIS rejection rates.
· Legacy fulfillment systems unable to support record-breaking order volumes
Solution
Spirit Halloween selected Infios to support its innovation goals, providing real-time visibility throughout the order process:
- Infios OM (Order Management): real-time order orchestration and intelligent inventory allocation
- Infios WM (Warehouse Management): operational and labor efficiency with increased inventory visibility
- Connected Execution: r eal-time information flow between OM and WM systems via an agentic integration layer
Results
· BOPIS rejection rates dropped from 7% to 3.3%
· 2 million transactions in 1 day integrated with Infios OM
· +1.6 million orders created in peak season
· Resilience during global supply and tariff disruptions
